ABN Charaidew II
A country house that floats
ABN Charaidew II is our newest ship — built in the colonial tradition that once carried tea and trade down the Brahmaputra, and reimagined with the vernacular craft of Assam.
With eighteen cabins across three classes, she carries up to thirty-six guests in a gentle, personal rhythm. Hand-woven Assamese cotton and colonial touches throughout, French or private balconies in every cabin, and an open sundeck that becomes the heart of the day — for the gym at dawn, a book in the afternoon, and a sundowner as the light turns to gold.
Her extra-shallow draught is her secret: she slips into channels and moors at river islands that larger ships can only pass by — bringing you closer to the Assam few travellers ever see.

Small ship, large pleasures
With only two dozen guests, the ship runs to your pace, not a timetable. Dine when you like, take the excursion or stay on deck, and let the crew — who have sailed this river all their lives — look after the rest.
- Dining that draws on the region — Assamese thalis, river fish, garden produce.
- An Ayurvedic spa and sunrise yoga on the open deck.
- An honour bar & library for the slow hours between excursions.
- A naturalist & historian aboard for every sailing.
