ABN Sukapha
Eco-conscious, and entirely Assamese
ABN Sukapha was designed specifically to navigate the mighty waters of the Brahmaputra — an adept yet comfortable, active-expedition-style ship for a maximum of twenty-four guests.
In an effort to conserve India’s forests, her twelve upper-deck cabins are bamboo-panelled, air-conditioned and roomy, with large sliding windows onto the river. There is a spa and a saloon with a library, a dining room on the main deck, and a spacious sundeck at the very top.
The cane furniture, the objets d’art and the handlooms aboard are all locally made by talented artisans from Assam — a ship that feels of its place.

The sundeck is the heart of the ship — for a book between excursions, a sundowner as the light turns gold, or a treatment in the small spa. The saloon, with its library, is a cool retreat; the dining room serves Assamese and Continental cuisine.
